Year 5 and 6 Extension Project

For the last Couple of weeks the year 5 and 6 extension group have been studying about Mt Tarawera. So far we have got really close to the history of Mt Tarawera. So we have decided to make a little movie that shows all the information about Mt Tarawera. Each of us had partaken in this.

My part was a big part it was about what happened before the eruption. It was a lot of fun and laughter. I had to speak about how the people of Te-wairoa were like before the eruption. The people of Te-wairoa were having a very good life till...................

The eruption of Mt Tarawera had begun. It was really scary having a life like that.
In the end nothing was left. Only mud and ash. It was a lot of fun. Some things were hard but I had still stuck together in the end.

Mt Tarawera Reflections

This term at P.T England School our topic is Active Earth. Active Earth is all about what happens to our Earth now days like Eruptions of Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Taunamis. For the last Couple of weeks the year 5 and 6 extension group have been studying about Mt Tarawera. So far we have gotten really close to the History of Mt Tarawera. So we have decided to make a movie that shows all the information about Mt Tarawera. Each of us had partaken in this. My part was a big part it was about what happened before the eruption. It was a lot of fun and laughter. In the end we got it through with. That was really cool. I wish to do it again some time. I think that I could have improved on the graphics that I had drew. I also think that I could've improved on the voice over because I didn't have enough clever vocab. That is all I think I needed to work on. Thanks for the fun Mrs Tele'a.

My Favourite Singers

Beyonce is my favourite singer. She is so glamorous and pretty I wish to be her. Maybe when I grow up I could be just like her. Her most best song for me is going to have to be All The Single Ladies.
My second best favourite singer would be Miriah Kerry. She has got the most highest voice but I will still go for Beyonce. They are so cool.
My third would have to be Justin Bieber . He is so cool. All I like about him is his voice. I don't like him like all those other girls do. Growse. He really does have a nice voice.

Rock Our World

Rock Our World 12 Rita

1. What did I do well?
I represented for someone who was away for Family night (day)Which was awesome. I participated in the video conference with D'Wayne Edward's.

2. How could I have Improved to what I did?
I could have improved on all of the angles from the camera. I also could have helped someone else when they needed help.

Brick wall
What held you back from doing better?
It was the time that held us back from everything and all the stuff that we still had to do before all the time had been taken off. It was also all the illustration s we had to get done. In the end we had finished.

Purpose.........
Why did we even bother to take part in Rock Our World?
List some things down:
1. We had a global connection around the world with people that participated in R.O.W. (Rock Our World)
2. So that the year 5's can have an experience.
3.So we can have many more opportunities
4. So that anything the R.O.W people need to be done they can turn to us.
5. So that anyone who is in Extension they can have a turn participating in it.

All Whites New Zealand lost to Paraguay

"Awwwwww!!!!!!!" I heard. I sat up and ran to the living room. I was shocked that my whole family were up at two o'clock in the morning!!! Even my little brother James. A little while after I went back to bed. Another Awwww roared. "OHHH man what did I miss out now" I thought to myself. I ran to the front again the thing I had missed out was the end when they had drewn. I missed out the best part. Everyone was angry and wanted a rematch with that team. I was really mad with them. I really wanted to go straight up to the camera and say that we should have a rematch but I couldn't. The end.

KPE Episode 252: "Call of the Cruins"

Litia and Makerita, Room 15
"Call of the Cruins" by Elizabeth Pulford is Episode 252 of KPE.
"Call of the Cruins" tells us about the realities of pioneering life in early New Zealand. Emeline Malone (the main character) is a child of the 1880s and this story tells of her everyday life and responsibilities which are so very different to those faced by children today. Life in a sealing community was difficult. In this book Emeline risks her life to save a baby seal. Now she has the responsibility of ensuring its survival. Her determination to keep her secret Cruin alive tests her resourcefulness and ingenuity. Life in a pioneering community, especially one that earns its living from the dangerous job of seal hunting, is harsh. When her father and brother go missing in a boating disaster, Emeline and her family face a very dark future.
Have a listen .....

The Rematch with Room14

Room 14 were eagerly waiting for the rematch game to begin. Once room 15 got to the bottom field the game was already set up. Room 15 were so excited.

"Go" shouted Miss King. Suddenly Room 14 and 15 started charging. We were trying to get to the safe zone but as soon as everybody got to the middle we stopped. We were having a rematch of a game called Capture the Flag on the bottom field.
Everybody was ready to tag and to rescue people. Some people started dodging and trying to make a run for it. I was excited about playing the game again. We were all running around with excitement.

Lots of people started shouting because Oshania had the flag but she wouldn't even try running with it or giving it to someone else to try and get us a point. I was starting to get frustrated. I wanted to run back to our territory but people would tag me. Once room14 got the last point we all felt disappointed and depressed. When we got back to class people were moaning and groaning at Oshania and Teresa. The End.
