Kia Ora this term has been extremely fun. I have alot of highlights but only have my top three. One of them were going camp. It was the bomb. My most likeable thing to do was cook dampers,go roller skating, bowling and rock climbing.
My second highlight is having a video conference with a famous shoe desighner D'Wayne. We got to ask alot of questions. His answers were very interesting to hear. All he would talk about was his life and how he had gotten his job.
My last but not least highlight is having a test to get into extention. It was very difficult. I would always get nervous.(I even shake.) Sotimes I forget about the test's to get into extention. So those are my three highlights from this term. My two goals are to.....
Studie hard for this coming term and to have a better attitude in class. Next term I think the theme is going to be about volcanoes. I don't know but I think it is going to be about that. I hope you join me next term for more things that we are going to be learning. Kakite Ano.

Swimming
Yay, Rm15 got to go swimming. Everyone was steaming hot because they had sort of finished a game called Capture The Flag. Once we had left the school grounds everyone was excited. When we had gotten near the pools we all ran inside.
Finally we hopped into the pool.It was freezing.I really wanted to get out but I just had to stay in. Once Miss Squires had said go to me, I swam as fast as I could and by the time I had gotten to the middle I was gasping for breath. I had thought I was useless at swimming. As soon as I had stopped at the end I was all worn out.
Then I went for my second attempt. I felt even worn by the time I had reached the middle. I had heard someone laugh at me and that's what put me down. When I had gotten out of the pool, I ran straight to the person and splash them on the face with water.
That made me get in trouble and until we had to go that was the last time I would hop in. In the end I felt very ,very, very grumpy and sad. I started blaming the person who laughed at me. But eventually I got over it.
Sit Back and relax this will be a ride you will never forget.

Video Confrence
On a calm afternoon some of the 5 and 6 extension people stayed back to have a video conference with the famous shoe designer D,Wayne. It was a lot of fun. We got to learn all about his life and how he got the job (it was very interesting.) At first I had thought that it was going to be all boring but once he told us about his life I started to get into it. The most useful thing to him is a letter that had been written by his mum. One day when he was working he had saw a flier that said that there was a shoe competition going on. He had told all of his buddies at work about the competition but they had thought he was crazy. So he had ignored them and told his mum and his mum said that he could do it. Then he signed up and won the competition but when he went to collect his prize it was a job. The people said that he was to young for the job so they had to search for another person. That was very sad but interesting.
The three sentences he told to us was Get a Mentor Believe in yourself and Work hard. Those three sentences will help everyone achieve their goals.Bye for now.

Early European Settlers to NZ
Room 15 have been finding out about the Early Europeans who came to NZ. We read about the Whalers and Sealers, Missionaries, Settlers and Traders. We wrote scripts as if we were one of these people and recorded our scripts with our animations of the European ships arriving in NZ playing in the background. Mine is one of the ones that was finished and played on P.E.N.N. - our school news programme

On a windy Friday the whole of P.T England went to the P.T England reserve for a little picnic. By the time we got to the reserve I was very excited. When we all got free to go I ran straight for the beach. Whenever I went past Brooklyn I always saw gluggy clay in her hands. Finally I got hungry so I quickly ran up for a little snack. By the time I got back down everyone was going for a snack. Even Ashleigh went. So I was all alone but once 2 or 3 minutes went past it was full again.
After a little while went past, Karaoke started. I was really excited because I love singing. Once it was my turn I got up and sang it felt so embarrassing that I nearly fainted. When I got out of the circle of doom I felt like I could breath again.I sang No Air that was my favourite song when I was about 6 or 8. It went so smooth except for my heart beat it was gong pitter patter pitter patter. Then we all had to pack up, it was very very fun because after wards me and my family went to Burger King. I felt so special that day. The End.

"Albert" by William Taylor
"Albert" by William Taylor
Litia and I have chosen "Albert" for our first podcast in 2010. Joey's Mum loves going to the Refuse Transfer Station (another name for the rubbish dump) because she often finds treasures there. The most valuable treasure Joey and his mother ever found at the dump was Albert, a very suprising cat.
