This photo is of when a couple of our teams girls went for a cupcake decorating technique
sort of class. With Mrs Barks, Mrs George and Miss Walters. It was in Mrs Barks class which is room 12.
There were three tables that had all sorts of different types of icing techniques. My table as you can see had the elements of Fondant and butter cream. It was really fun and after wards we got to share it with other people. It was really fun.

Camp Concert Night
As I was sitting there waiting impatiently for Mr Barks to call up the Respectables, my stomach started to turn upside down. I dreaded watching all of the other team performances because it made me think that my own team’s performance stunk. What am I talking about? Well I am talking about our year 7 and 8 camp concert night. It was the definitely the worst night for me out of all the other camp nights.
My heart was pounding when I was standing there in front of all the other teams. My thoughts were straight blank. We had only 2 hours to memorize the moves and then it was show time. I seriously wanted to get off the stage. The music started and the song was ‘shi shaw snappy’ (Jump Jam song) and then it remixed to this other Indian song. When we had finished my heart was at ease.
It was as if nothing had happened when I was walking down from the stage. After the rest of the items had been performed it was time for judging. I think that my groups dance wasn’t that good. Well the judges actually thought it wasn’t that good either. So we came 5th overall, then it was Team Respect, then came another and another and then finally first place was the Respect Crew. This was Toreka and Lepa’s group.
When the night was over we had to retreat back to our tents and go to sleep because the next day we were going to Swimarama. I felt so relieved when everything had finished. Next year I will be determined to make my groups act the best and come first place.

Career Expo at Tamaki College
On Wednesday at around 6 oclock, their was a Career expo that was going to be held at Tamaki College. The year 7 and 8 had to attend this event. It was a whole lot of fun as well as learning a lot of things. I was looking all around the place looking for anything to do with Travel and Tourism. Finally I went inside and saw it. She taught me a lot about what I need to learn about Travel and Tourism. After that I went around to any stall and asked a lot of questions. It was a whole heep of fun, and I really enjoyed it. I got a lot of free things as well. There was also this little training fitness thing for some of those that wanted to be in the NAVY. It was so fun. I learnt so many new and old things. There were Art stands, as well as designing, and Rugby/Sports, animating studios, catering and hospitality, and much much more. But my favourite was the NAVY stand. For you to be able to receive a NAVY hat, you would have to do 20 push ups. I wish that there would be a Career Expo for our Intermidiate students. That would be so cool. But overall the night was full of Career choices.
