Netball, the gospel, my culture and all subjects, is what I LOVE and is what practically makes me, me. Hi my name is Makerita Isaako. And I am a current Yr 8 student in extension attending Pt England school. I am a very privileged prefect that loves her Reading, Music, Technology and Maths especially. I am also a proud Samoan, and quarter Niiuean. Netball is one of my favourite sports, that's why you can see a drawing of a netball ball in one of the boxes. And I love going to church. Being a mormon is awesome. The photo in the middle, well that's just a rough portrait of me. By the way, thanks for reading, this was a little description of some values I have in my life as a Visual Mihi.

Waitangi Day Facts Part 1
The Treaty Of Waitangi also known as in Maori, Tiriti O Waitangi is a public holiday in New Zealand. Waitangi Day was a historic day which occured on the 6th of February 1840 when the Pakeha and the Maori, made a treaty to try and bring a halt to the conflict between the two races. Why was this treaty made? Well it was to help the Pakeha and the Maori settle together, and share New Zealand's land. The treaty was made in under 3 days. No hours at all to spare. William Hobson whom was the General Governor at the time, had fell very ill. So in replacing, James Busby and the rest of the colleagues tried their very best to make a treaty within only 3 days. The days went by and it came to the day of the treaty signing. By then William Hobson was well up and quite the very opposite of ill. Chiefs of Maori tribes from far and wide travelled for a very long distance to get to The Bay Of Islands, where the Treaty was to be signed.
