Team USA Gymnastic

I have just found out that my favourite gymnastics team has won GOLD MEDAL!! TEAM USA!! In the last Olympics, Team USA came second place, while China had come first. Apparently this year Team USA have come first while Team China had to go through a devastating 2nd place. To me 2nd place isn't that bad, but for China it is. Since they have been coming 1st place for a quite a long portion of time. By the way, I am extremely proud of Team USA for coming first place. The best news coming from the Olympics so far for me.  Keep up the Great Work Team USA!

Goldie Painting

This painting is one of the many paintings that was made by the famous
Charles Frederick Goldie. It is called ‘Caught Napping’. It was painted at
least 111 years ago. This is a wonderful painting of the well known Hamiora. Charles Frederick Goldie painted many Maori people because he was inspired by their mokos. Our Extension group had to recreate a painting of our choice from this artist. We had to recreate one of his artworks to be able to present at our schools art exhibition.  

My choice was ‘Caught Napping’. This painting is to me a random painting. It kind of doesn’t explain anything. It doesn’t make sense in any way. Which is kind of like a mystery, that I was really interested in finding out.

In the process of the making of my artwork, we had to take our time with the shading. To be able to make it look 3D. It was very hard and took a lot of time and effort to make. We also had to try and make it look exactly like a replica of the actual one.

I ended up actually satisfying myself with my end result. It turned out better than expected. I had a lot of trouble with the background as you can see. But it all turned out just fine for me.

Extension Project

In Extension we had been given the task of finding out information about any body we please. Some of us students did a couple of people from the star map website. Which were out of Nathaniel Lees, Albert Wendt, Neil Ieremia, Sia Figiel, Sopolemalama Fillipe Tohi and Sima Urale. I chose to do my personal favorite popstar. If you would like to find out who it is play the movie and you will see. The short clip has information of who she is and other very important things about her. She is a very good icon to those that want to be like her. Exactly like me. She always pushed herself to do her best and that is how she is in her position right now. Known as the most beautiful women in the world. I really want to be like her when I grow up. She is my idol and I bet an idol of many many more people around the world.

Outrageous Feelings

Overwhelmed with joy, smiling, teeth showing, so happy, facial expressions, hugging tightly, veins popping from excitement, in white uniform. Sentences: 1. The excitement from their faces look like they have won their match. 2. Each and every one of the women in this photo, have such excited facial expressions. 3. Their veins are popping right out of their faces from huge smiles. 4. Their hearts are filled with continues joy, as you can tell by their looks on their faces. 5. As they were gripping each other rapidly, they looked very much ecstatic.

Wrestling

His hands were locked around his opponent, while all you could see were veins popping from his arms. The opponent struggled, as his competition was tightly gripped upon him. Their facial expressions looked very awkward, as they both clenched their teeth. The opponent almost took down his partner but didn’t quite get there. Their muscles were aching as they tried to take each other down.

My Favourite Sport in the Olympics

Gymnastics.

The Olympics this year involves my favourite sport to watch. Gymnastics, because it is very fascinating to watch how they can get it all done, sometimes with out getting hurt or stumbling. My favourite team for that sport is, the 2008 summer Olympic games silver award winners Team USA. They made it into the finals and unfortunately did not get first place. They were amazing in the last Olympic games and are now aiming to come first place. I can't wait for the finals, I will be going for their team.

Accuracy

Brainstorm: accurate, aiming, bulls-eye, archery, focus, tension What focus this athlete has put into his sport. His mind is accurately focused on his aiming. His hands are firmly held onto the bow. A look of pure focus, swept across his face. The concentration he uses and you can see in his face, makes it look very obvious he will get it directly in the middle.
